XP Network Diagnostic

I have run a diagnostic test and the results show a fail for both email and news. My email seems to run slowly and is jerky eg downloads several quickly then pauses. Do I have a problem and if so how do I fix it. The report is reproduced below. I am using a netgear 834PN wireless router synced at 2.8mbs but speedtests show only getting 1.3mbs

Is mail.storth.com hosted on Plus net? Most mail servers wont let you send mail unless it comes from their IP range so if its not on Plus net that maybe the problem

What anti virus are you using? It seems you are going via local host so it suggest you try to pick up your email from a local server like ones with AV and this then passes it on to the real server.

Try setting your mail to the ip address of the servers and see how it goes but beware your mail may not be scanned for AV.

No storth.com is hosted by streamline.net. I use Nod32 anti virus and Zonealarm firewall.
