Wireless Router

I'm thinking of getting a wireless ADSL combined router to use with my playstation 2, and to replace my current USB modem for my PC. Does Plusnet recommend or support a wireless system?

If not has anyone got any recommendations for a good system that they have got working with a PC and Playstation ?

You can use a wireless system with' Plusnet' no problem.
A decent combined modem/wireless router for gaming
is Netgear's DG824M and for the Playstation you
will need a wireless ethernet bridge like Netgear's ME101.
Both these devices work on 802.11b 11Mbps speed
Personally I would only use the playstation wirelessly
if it was in the same or next room seperated by a partition.
(But this really depends on how serious a gamer you
are and how important things like latency ,ping times, lag, are.)
For larger distances/ more walls/ fastest speeds, then you could consider 802.11g compliant devices, 54Mbps speed.
You can't get a combined unit for this speed you'll need
a seperate ethernet modem, wireless router and bridge,
eg Netgear's DM602, WGR614 & WGE101.
Linksys also make very good 'gamers' products but not
a combined unit.

I will have a look at getting the DG824M as the playstation is only in the next room.

Thanks for your help

I also use Netgear GB824M ADSL Wireless Modem/Gateway 4/100Mb, although I'm still migrating from BT, will use it with Plus.net. I also use Wireless Access Point on the top, 802.11g 54Mbs one, cause they don't do GB824M with 54Mbs yet. Nice compact design as well, and good price.
