Why won't Outlook 2003 do what I want

I am sure I am missing something obvious here.
I have set up a rule so that all e-mails from support @ plus.net are moved into a sub folder of the inbox.
I have set up an autoarchive rule which permanently deletes the contents of this sub folder if it is more than 2 days old.
Problem is that it won't do it and trying to manually archive it doesn't work either although the archive icon comes up saying it is archiving.

Can you describe the rule in detail as it is shown when creating/changing it including how you are matching the emails to move.

The move part works fine Peter its the inability to get the e-mails to auto delete after 2 days that I can't make work.
The system I used for setting up the delete is to right click on the folder, select properties, auto archive and finally clicking on "Archive this folder using these settings" with it set to "clean out items older than 2 days" and with "Permanently delete old items"
