Has anybody got information on softwear available to monitor the temperature and voltage of a pc?

I think it depends on the make of your motherboard really. Have a look on the manufacturer's website to see if they recommend any tools.

No all motherboards have temp sensor chips so it will depend on make/manufacturer whether you can view CPU temps and fan speeds. Also many laptops don't have them for cost reasons. If you see temps in your BIOS then you are probably ok.

Many DELL PCs are known not to have them also.

MBM5 is one of the well known temp monitor apps - check their web site for motherboards so you set the correct sensor options - mbm5 will detect most of them but may not in some cases or get the sensors in the wrong order.

Most of the recent mobos should come with cpu temp monitoring software.
