Hi, every time i back up a dvd it will copy onto the hard drive but as soon as it comes off of the hard drive to the dvd-rw ( nec 2500a ) the computer has a blue screen and has this error message i am runnig windows XP with service pack 2.

A problem has been detected and windows has been shut down to provent damage to your computer.
if this is the first time you have seen this stop error screen, restart your computer. If this screen appears again, follow these steps:
check to be sureyou have adequate disk space. I a driver is identified in the stop error message, disable the driver or check with the manufacturer for driver updates. try changing video adapters.
check with your hardware vendor for any bios updates. Disable Bios memory options such as caching or shaddowing. I f you need touse safe mode to remove or disable components, restart your computer, press f8 to select advanced startup option,and then select safe mode.

have you tried updating sp2 or checked for driver updates via windows auto update
if yes the try to copy and paste the stop code in to microsoft site and see what you get
