Plusnet incoming mail size limit?

Does anyone know if Plusnet impose a limit on the size of file attachment for incoming mail. I`m trying to receive a 10MB file which is getting bounced.

You can send and receive upto 100MB. Quite why people would such large messages, over a poor transfer system, I don't know.

Are you able to supply thr exact bounce message?

The local server of the person sending, may have sending restrictions.

Alternatives may depend on the mail client in use.

TheBat! & even Outlook Express will allow you to set messages to break into chunks over a certain size.

Once all the messages they are broken down into are received, the client will automaticly assemble them into a single message.

While Plusnet have the 100MB attachment limit the problem may be at the senders mail system or any of the mailsystems used between the sender and PlusNet. E.G. hotmail accounts have a 10MB limit on the free ones and I know of several other ISPs who impose a 1MB limit.

For emails approching that size it is usually better to ftp the file to some webspace then download it via a browser.
