Multi-Screen - 2 / 4 and 6 LCD Displaying 1 Picture

I really dont know anything about this but I do know what it is I am trying to achieve if thats any help.

I am trying to create something like this:


Using standard LCD VGA Monitors, 15 inch ones either 3, 4 or possibly even 6.

I would have them setup either:

[ 1 ][ 2 ][ 3 ]

[ 1 ][ 2 ]
[ 3 ][ 4 ]

[ 1 ][ 2 ][ 3 ]
[ 4 ][ 5 ][ 6 ]


I know how to do this on a computer using UltraMon but I really wanted to do it for console gaming where a VGA input could be used and then it would turn the picture into either 3 images widescreen, 4 images normal or 6 images widescreen. So obviously it would need 1 input and either 3 / 4 or 6 outputs and be able to transform the incoming signal into the correct resolutions for display and correct size etc.

The fact is though, I dont have a clue what you call these boxes, if it is even a box lol? I think I am correct in saying a Video Amplifier merely outputs clones of the incoming signal on several different displays, so what would you call one that splits up the main image and creates one big picture and how much does this technology cost?

If anyone has any idea what it is I am trying to find it would be appreciated, thanks in advance Smiley
