Maybe silly question re I-Book

Have set up plusnet web mail on my wife's I-Book machine via my XP PC. Have also set it up to work with an external pop3 account. All works fine on my pc but when she tries to access her external pop3 account in I-Book, the Tools button is nowhere to be seen? Help, please!

What application are you using to access the POP3 account? Mail? Safari? And how are you connecting the iBook to the Internet? Using Internet Connection Sharing on your PC?

Safari and connection sharing correct.

I don't think you can use the Plus.Net webmail to access an external POP3 account. Try something like http://www.mail2web.com. Or use a "proper" email client such as Mail.app or Entourage.

You can, it works ok on my machine in ie but certain buttons seem to have gone missing from Safari which means you can't access it. I'll just install Firefox on her machine instead but thanks for the help.

Yes, but that's using the "Advanced IE6+" only interface. That doesn't work on Safari or Firefox.
