Loss of Local Signal - Router

I have started getting some odd results from my Speedtouch router.
I have had two occasions when it has rebooted with the following report
Quote
Loss of Signal (Local/Remote): 1 / 0
Loss of Power (Local/Remote): 0 / 0
Loss of Link (Remote): 0
Error Seconds (Local/Remote): 789 / 0
and one occasion where it resynchronised at 120kb/s upstream with an snr of 6db. rebooting the router took it back to the normal 448kb/s at 20db snr
Is this likely to be a faulty router or something odd happening with my local wiring

It could be either. Has anything changed like new phone new cables cables moved.
Did the outages match with using the phone? It could be the temp with this hot weather as wire expand and have dodgy connection

Loss of Local Signal - Router

The last loss of signal occurred at 1.30 in the morning and the low upload speed resynch occurred at about midday.
A new ADSLNation XTE-2005 should arrive today and if that doesn't fix it I will have to assume its a faulty router.
Nothing else has changed as far as I can tell and the router is connected to the master socket with a cat5 cable
