Linux and SMTP

I have a Mandrake Linux system and have a sendmail mail server configured to forward all e-mails to relay.plus.net. If I send an e-mail from Mozilla then the e-mail gets to its destination correctly. If I send an e-mail from a web page via my Apache web server then the e-mail disappears into the ether. This all used to work until I upgraded my system to Mandrake 10.1. If I turn sendmail off then the emails get queued and when I inspect them I can't find anything wrong with them. I wondered if anyone could suggest a possible problem?

Many thanks

It may be something you have already checked, but in your sendmail 'access' file/database I assume you have relaying permitted for both your 'localhost' IP and loopback address (127.0.0.1).

Have you checked through the mail logs for anything regarding message failures or refused connections?

Roy,

as far as I can tell both are enabled

Thanks for the suggestion

Have you tried www.mandrakeusers.org? They're usually very helpful. Wink
