setup a comptuter which connect to the router with a Belkin wireless network card.

The owner of the comp has admin prvelges with a second user account for everyone else which set to be a "limited" user account to stop all the pleb from screwing with it.

Problem : The Belkin Wireless network card icon in the systry has got a dirty great big red "X" over it, in the limited account, thus no access to the internet for the plebs :O

how can this restriction be lifted?

The reason for the limited account is in an attempt to stop software from the dodgy sites which the plebs access being installed, amongst other things!

cheers

Occasionally programs need to be "installed" on first use by each user. To test if this is the case for this particular case, change the account type to be admin, then try to get it running and configured, then switch the account back and test it.
In the past lots of programs have given me this issue, which with lots of users and machines to support this ends up being a real pain.

Ok enabling the guest account would do for the same purpose, its really just so this comp can be used to acess the internet.

but even the guest account manages to diable all network connections - can the guest account have network connection available, and if so how?

plz help this is a real pain as mention above Cheesy

Edit : on some googling this seems to be the case no matter wot netwrork card one may be using, so its not just a Belkin problem.

Edit #2 : still cant find nuttin relevant - googling my life away here plz help Tongue
