IE6 and Acrobat Reader update - launch problem

I am running XP Pro with IE6.0 SP1. I have just updated to Adobe Acrobat Reader 6.0 . Now whenever I try to open a .pdf file from IE I get a "Can't find Adobe Acrobat" error. If I open Acrobat first, I am presented with the message about being able to view documents within IE. I install this option, and then open the .pdf - No problem. If I close Acrobat Reader, we go back to the original problem.

Any ideas? On average I read three or four .pdf file a day, and it is quietly driving me round the bend!

IE6 and Acrobat Reader update - launch problem

If you have not tried already I suggest you uninstall all versions of acrobat reader you have on your system (first make sure acrobat reader is not in memory), reboot then try installing it again and see if that helps.

Are you installing the latest version 6.0.1, if not download the latest version and try that.

Looks like 6.0.1 has solved it. Thank you for your help.
