Please can someone tell me how to remove the Packard Bell logo's on the taskbar of Internet Explorer and Outlook Express.

You will have to edit your registry for that, but if you are unsure either get a friend that knows or best left alone.

Run regedit and do a search for Packard Bell this should point you to wherever they have things.

Don't forget to make a backup of your registry first though.
Click on file then export to send a copy of the registry to a safe place.
A double click on the saved file will then restore it if it all goes wrong.

This worked for me:

    rundll32 iedkcs32.dll,Clear


Failing that try and find the icon in the PB folder, copy it and rename the icon picture file as 'old file'. Open the copied icon file and alter it to your own taste then rename it as the original file.

You do all this at your own risk though because what works for one may or may not work for another. .

Well, powertoys for Windows XP did the trick and was the easy option.
