How can I automatically stop a program running

If I want to be good boy, and only download using P2P between the hours of 00:00 and 08:00, can someone tell me if it can be configured to be done automatically?
I know I can use Scheduled tasks to start the Bit torrent program (Azureus), but how do I automatically shut it down at 08:00 if I'm not there?
I have begun to investigate scipts, but have not yet found one that will terminate a program.
I know I can use the 'shutdown.exe' command, but I didn't want to turn the computer off .

You download the timer plug-in for Azureus and it will do it all for you.

Thanks to Geoff for his help.
I couldn't find a timer plugin for Azureus, but I found "TriggerMenuItem" from www.alphawolf.org/software which you can use with Sceduled Tasks which will start/stop/pause/resume/exit an application. Reading the instructions, it would probably work on abc bittorrent as well.

Sorry, I should have posted this link to the azureus timer.
It's actually called the scheduler.
(For others, Google on Azureus plugins)

I don't think so.
This link gives a comparison of many of the bit torrent clients.

If you're not particularly wedded to ABC, I'd have a go with Azureus.
It can be as easy or as complex to use as you like. I use it and I'm not a techie.

You can dowmload the scheduler plugin from within Azereus itself and is much easier to do it that way. Just click on plug-ins then select installation wizzard. Tick the by list option then just tick the plug-ins you want to download.

stop process

From command line you can use 'taskkill' to kill a process, schedule it at a given time and volia.

IE

taskkill -f -im notepad.exe
