Help with Linlsys BEFDSR41W Modem and Router

First of all is anyone using this modem/router on a network with plusnet. If so I would be grateful on how exactly you set it up.
The modem is working but I am unable to get a connection to plusnet.
The software set up seems easy and the settings I have used are as follows.

device ip address 255.255.255.0
VPI =0
VCI =38
Encapsulation = RFC 2364 PPoA
Multiplexing = VC
login ====== user name xxxx@plus.net
password ==xxxxxxxx
connect on demand : max idle time = 5mins

What am I doing wrong ?
The network shows a connection with packets being sent and received.
Are my settings right ? Cry Cry Cry
I understand that plusnet assign a static ip address but under the above settings there is nowhere to enter it ?
any help would be greatly appreciated

Should your device IP address (that you have set as the LAN gateway address 255.255.255.0) be your IP address, the one you say there appears to be no where to enter it Huh
If not, it should be the IP address of the router not any gateway submask.
I would have thought there was an option somewhere for dynamic or static IP address.

Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy
Solved it myself retraced all the telephone wires and ensured they were wired correctly and discovered the problem was the modem lead.
I duly made one with the correct pins and hey presto fully configured and up and running.
Definately recommend the product except LINKSYS support is useless. There is an increased improvement in speed.

thank you all who have shown an interest and posted...Colin

Surely ***ALL*** Plusnet usernames are of the form

user@plusadsl.net?

some are username@plusdsl.net, but there are some (I believe the older ones) which are username@plus.net.

Chris is correct. However, some new ones are also in the form username@plus.net. These are rare and only relate to some manual orders.
