After 12 years of Windows I have just switched to a Mini Mac. Discuss.

In a word -- yes

However, all is not lost, get a copy of Virtual PC for the MAC and have the best opf both Worlds.

This is the only bit I'd agree with, but only if you really need your pc software.
I'd be very suprised if you regret getting a mac. I've just bought my 4th mac for the home, a lovely 20" iMac with wireless keyboard and mouse. Also I've been using macs at work since 1988. I find they are much more straightforward to use than pcs and easier to troubleshoot. When your pc using friends are having problems with viruses etc, you can have a little chuckle to yourself knowing that macs just don't have this problem!

why dear god why!!! the only good mac mini costs £1,200 and for that you can get a pritty niffy Shuttle with FAR more options available to you for later use,

eg but not limited to

more hard drives
more ram
swaping out the gfx card
swapping out the mobo
swapping out the CPU
better cooling
faster computer


And the upsides of the mac?

its small?? so damn what, its not like any one cares!
its a mac, um that can be both good and bad i guess
