Duplicate files

Hi

With the many (1000s) of photo & video files I have collected over the years and transfered from PC to PC, renamed, etc. I am sure I have duplicates all over the place. Although time-consuming it is a little easier to find duplactes of the same length and same name using the standard Windows search function.

What isn't so easy is finding duplicates where the contents of the file are the same but the fiole names are different. Is there a program that can easily automate this process as I am sure I can free up lots of space?

Cheers

You need a duplicate file finder try

http://www.tucows.com/preview/373411

for a free one or a trial like

http://noclone.net/

If you google for duplicate file finder there are loads of them some free and some cheap ones.

Duplicate files

Thanks.

I had previously downloaded a Duplicate file finder from a Goggle search but it seemed overly complicated and I was unsure about whether to trust it.

I will look at the Tocows recommendation.

Cheers.
