Buffer Overrun Detected?!?

When I try and run Adobe Elements 3 (Photo viewer), I get this message. I have to close the programme down.

Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library

Buffer overrun detected!
Program -- Elements 3

Can anyone help me out, I have run AV and Windows defender.

Thanks in advance.

Buffer Overrun Detected?!?

Memory problem? First try closing any other open applications.

If no success try changing:

Preferences: Memory & Image cache

Cache levels : 4
Maximum used by PSE: x %

I think x % is 50% by default (I don't have PSE on this PC so I may be talking rubbish!). Try increasing x to a max of 80% in 10% increments.

No, I think it's in PSE - Preferences - in the menu system.

I haven't got a copy here at work so I can't look. Have a look in PSE help file if you can't find it.

Sudden thought - this may only be in PS CS2, I don't know if it's available in Elements. Sorry, trying to work from memory here (which has been addled by too much beer over the years).

Regards

Neil
