Administrative Tools

When you allow Users to logon locally to your Domain Controller (yes, I know that's not the best of ideas, before you say anything), they still get the Administrative Tools link on their Start Menu. Is there any way of hiding this using Group Policy?? It must be possible, but a solution has eluded me. :?:

i dont know if this will work , but as the Admin tools is located in the control panel you could do this

user configeration -> administrative template ->control panel -> hide specified controll panel applets -> add "administrative tools.cpl"

@buzzons you're suggestion didn't work I'm afraid. However, I have found a solution, but not using Group Policy; I simply hid the Admin Tools link in the All Users Start Menu settings.

Not if you implement a GPO to prevent changes to the Start Menu! Wink

Edit: I have now found the GP setting to remove the Administrative Tools, unfortunately it removes other items from the Start Menu as well. Oh well, you can't have everything. Cool
