AR41 Modem/Router

Does anyone have this modem router and especially with it working with port forwarding?
I have added a port (8Cool and a destination but nothing is forwarded, and would welcome any hints.

First off, what make and model is it?

Many router units have built in firewall. In these cases,a rules needs ot be used to allow the connection through too.

I found this true for thr SAR715

Its an AR41 from ebuyer (uses ALCATEL MTC150 chipset and bios Version 2.7f). It does include a firewall and it is the portforwarding of that I have been trying to get working. The manual is not too good. The DMZ worksok, but I just want to forward a single port 9for now)

I have this working now. It was my fault. The forwarding was working, but
because I was testing it from within the LAN, it wasn't going to work (was it!). I
dialed up with a modem and could see that the forwarding was happening.
Thanks for responding

You can enable DMZ on it to open all ports to a certain machine often useful Wink
