Looks fine to me, the other option could be 2x1GB of Crucial DDR2 PC6400 (800MHz), but the difference is minimal yet more expensive.

Your rig looks ok, but I would question the amount of money your spending on it if your doing so now [?]. Intel will be bringing down the prices of the higher end processors in april, you may get a decent price on a high end CPU if you hang on a bit..

BUT...

If your into overclocking, well you just can't miss out on a e4300....this thing overclocks comfortably and stability is excellent, and it only costs £100!!!

I cannot say enough about this chip, i wanted to dip into dual core myself and had a few recomendations from friends and I settled on the following:

CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo E4300 $100

For CPU to be cold under OC i use an Artic Cooling Freezer 7 Pro £10 [Works a treat in my antec p180]

MBO: Asus P5N32-E SLi [£120]

RAM: 2x1GB of Crucial DDR2 PC6400 (800MHz). £150 [The Geil ram would do fine here also for £50 less, not much difference between c4 & c5.]

VGA: ATi Radeon X1950XT. £150 [I had agp version and it was wonderfull, this is better]

That lot came in around the £500 mark give or take a few quid, but to say I am pleased with it would be an understatement, I simply cannot praise it enough..

Let me know what graphics cards your planning to get or thinking about, there are some real bargains in the market right now and its a great time to buy before dx10 comes out. Or you could wait until it comes out and get a bang up to date version..

PS...you don't have to listen to a word I have said, but have a look at some of the reviews for the e4300. you will be pleasantly suprised for such a cheap Intel..

No

VGA: BFG GeForce 8800 GTS OC 320MB GDDR3 HDTV/Dual DVI

Look about on the net, you can pick one of these up for £199. Plus its DirectX10.

DirectX10 is here with Vista already.
