speedtest.net servers

Just a tip for anyone using this speed tester: I've found over the last few days I am consistently getting the best results from the Amsterdam server. E.g.

Well it will do, given the fact that you're using a BT Retail IP Address Wink

Aren't you on the RIN network whilst you're running the test?

If so, then that makes some sort of sense.

If you are testing from an IPStream connection, and the London test returns lower results than other ones, it suggests some sort of problem with that server.

On the RIN network things are a little [lot] different, so perhaps there is less congestion between the peering link from the RAS you access the net through and Amsterdam.

I wondered of it was down to the peering. Has anyone not on RIN compared London/Amsterdam?

Didn't think of that Shockedops:

Here goes:

IPStream Premier Connection - kinda blows the RIN theory outta the water. Looks like the London one may be giving odd results. BBMax just recorded 6531 D/S)
