shell1 & cron dead again

I see shell1 (the shell server that runs cron) has disappeared again... as Cron jobs I have last ran at 10.55am so I guess it died between 10.55 and 11AM today. This is the third time in recent weeks this seems to have happened, mostly at the weekend. Shell2 is still up though.

Thanks Colin, were looking into it now.

Dave, a quick word, make sure it isn't a process owned by acarr on shell2 causing it.

I have a long winded task in operation, vital to part of the support accout. It is reimporting postcode data, and should it die, there will be 9 hours more improting to do.

Do let me know, and I will see if there is any way to try and cull some of the load, if it is me Sad

Don't think it's you Philip, you're only using 0.7% of the memory on the server and 0.0% of CPU usage.
