"Could not locate remote server"

I seem to be getting a hell of a lot "Could not locate remote server" error messages this evening, with both Opera and IE.

Am I alone in experiencing this? Anyone able to offer the vaguest of pointers as to what it might be please :?:

You may want to perform some local end diagnotics.

First, how do you connect to plusnet.

Modem, DSL?

What connection device have you got. USB, Router, PCI?

"Could not locate remote server"

Okay, I'll play!

I connect using an Etec (Conexant chipset) single port router and will happily admit that I have absolutely no idea how I managed to configure the thing in the first place.

However, I have been connected since February, but the problem is fairly recent.

There is definitetly a problem with the PNet DNS. Was getting probs all the way thru from about 4:30am to 10 am today. I can connect to the same sites thru BTInternets  DNS no probs. On dialup near Colchester (not that that makes any difference Wink )
