quick usage question (with cheesy diagram lol)

Hey guys,

I hope this wont be too confusing. My monthly usage:

So far I've totalled at 21.35gb (C).

Does only A and B (14.76gb) count towards my 20gb unmanaged peak-time limit?

If yes, just to clarify, does that mean i have downloaded 6.59gb (C - (A+B)) off-peak?

and therefore, only have 5.24gb (20 - (A+B)) of unmanaged peak-time download available?

lol....I hope you all understand.

Thanks!

Yes your right A and B are peak time usage = 14.76gb (depending on the protocol)

C - is your off peak usage

Max 20 gb fot usenet-p2p and ftp - peak time 8am till midnight
Max 30 gb for all other protocols - peak time 4pm till midnight

At least thats how i see it......lol

Time to see it differently then.

A + B is your peak usage but this includes normal browsing, email and P2P/Usenet/FTP so it is impossible to tell how much of it is counted towards your 20GB P2P/Usenet.FTP allowance.

C is you total usage so far (not off-peak) and includes A & B + your off-peak usage which is not shown. Your off-peak usage is actually C - A - B.

So peak usage is 14.76GB: an unknown amount of which is counted towards your 20 GB allowance and all of it is counted towards your 30GB SUP allowance.

Off-peak usage is 6.59GB

Total is 21.35GB.

ahhhhhh ok thats cool.

So how can I know how much of my 20gb peak-time (thats NNTP, P2P etc....not HTTP, SMTP etc) allowance I've used so far?

You can't which is the fundamental flaw in the new VMBU design.

The next version due out with the traffic management automatiion will show things in more detail but you will still have to add a few things up to get what you are after (unless this get's changed before the final release).
