problem with my domain email forwarding, can anyone help?

Hi i have setup a catch all email forwarding on my new domain,
but when i try and send mail to a dodgy address from plusnet I get the following error

Quote

This message was created automatically by mail delivery software.

A message that you sent could not be delivered to one or more of its
recipients. This is a permanent error. The following address(es) failed:

SMTP error from remote mailer after RCPT TO:<oops@*********.co.uk>:
host mx.last.plus.net [212.159.7.97]: 550 REJECTED:
Relay not permitted

Note that if i send mail to the same address from othe places eg yahoo it works OK

also seems to work ok with my fixed defined email addresses, although very very slowly

does anyone have any ideas?

The relay not permitted error is usually when you are trying to send mail through PlusNets servers, while not connected through PlusNet. Though if you can send mail to other addresses from that connection (I presume you are sending via the same servers then) and it works, theres definately something strange.

Phil

edit: Thinking about it, I may be wrong with the above, but I'll leave it there for the moment incase anyone else can confirm or deny for certain what I have said here.

nope i'm connected via the flakey broadband via tiscali

and it only occurs when sending email to the addresses i haven't defined

of course i'm doing this to get around the v. flakey email service that +net seems to provide these days :-(
