plusmail and mailboxes

I want to be able to access a mailbox using plusmail. Not the main account mailbox, I mean one created in the email control panel.

Shouldn't this work with the same username as I put in OE

Hi Oliver,

As the mailboxes are seperate to your default mailbox you need to login to the 'mailbox login' on our portal. When you log into one of the mailboxes you need to use the following format for the username:-

username+mailboxname

You must also use the password for the mailbox, not the account default. We have a great help section on this subject, I have pasted the link below for you:-

Please let me know if I can help you any further.

Regards,

Dave

I read those instructions, the following paragraph is from them.

Using our convenient Web-based PlusMail feature couldn't be easier. Simply enter username+mailbox, together with the associated mailbox password, to log into the system. That's all there is to it! You can log straight in from the PlusMail login at our welcome page or, by using the Options setting from within your Inbox area, you can check additional mailboxes as well as your default account mailbox.

I even tried telnetting the pop3 server just to verify that the username and password were correct. They were.

OK I get it, you mean the 'My Mail' login option at the top of the portal start page. That works.

I take it the Plusmail link on the left only works for main account logins. This is complicated.

It's not as bad as it was before, the reason I didn't even look at the 'My Mail' feature is that previously using it only took me to a second username/password screen, despite the fact I'd already entered those.

Woldn't it be simpler to just have one Plusmail/my mail option and look for the + sign in the username to decide how to handle it?
