Without a lot more information it is difficult to answer this. Many people have installed phpBB2 and find it a breeze. Can I just check - you are installing this on the CGI server? If you ask over in the CGI forum, or at least post the link to the page you are having a problem with, we should be able to advise further.

Hi,
you need to install it on the criticalmass server
FTP to
criticalmass.plus.net and login with your own username and password
and install it outside the cgi-bin directory
then point your browser to
http://cgi.beirut.plus.com/forum/
and follow the instructions
you will need your
db name and mysql password

Hi Ruba,

That is the path to your space on the main webserver. This will not run anything except standard HTML. In order to run the forums, you will need to use the CGI server. Have you activated your CGI and MySQL space from the Website Settings area of the Member Centre?

You will then be uploading to and viewing your forum from http://cgi.beirut.plus.com/. Please see the Support area for more details of how to use your CGI space. I'm not sure if the relevant customer will mind me posting the link, but a quick google search reveals many customers running Phpbb in their CGI space - http://cgi.surestartexeter.plus.com/phpBB2/index.php for example.

If you need any further help with this I would advise seeking assistance from the users of the CGI forum.
