If your line was already running at 2mb, then the system wouldn't have tried to put through an upgrade as it isn't currently possible to put through a regrade to Max.

This is also shown by the fact that you didn't pay the stanard regrade fee, which would have been listed in the first ticket you quoted.

If you had upgraded shortly before the product refresh, then you would have been given an upgrade to the higher speed. For the time being the package that you have moved to offers a higher usage allowance and the potential for faster speeds moving forwards. However, if you wish you could raise a ticket and switch back to the Premier Option 1 account and wait for the regrades that way.

Granted with all the fud going round this may seem confusing, but you requested an upgrade to a product premier option 3 which gives you 'up to 24Mb - where available'.

8-24Mb is dependant on ADSL2+ and your router supporting it

2-8Mb is dependant on you being migrated to maxDSL

maxDSL will only arrive after the regrade has been ordered for you along with the 100,000+ other plusnet customers.

[edit]
[jwhiting] does your answer contradict this?
[/edit]

Is this reasonable? Many on this forum would say no

Sucks does'nt it!!! Thats another reason why I migrated out. Bandwidth allowance cut, promised higher speed on next billing date, money taken, billing date arrives but no upgrade to Max DSL but hey don't look sad.

BT have a tool PlusNet comments but if all else fails with BT dont look at us its BT's fault.

@peanut666

It's a shame you didn't look or ask in here before you placed for order. It's been said many times that there are no ways of jumping the queue (by changing account type or anything else).

When are folk going to realise that the more expensive options are not and never have been really for increased speed but for a poor deal in increased SUP/bandwidth? This must have been obvious even to Mr Magoo for a year or so! Cool (where's me white cane?)

I did regrade from PAYG up to 2Mb to Premier option 1 on 31st March. I was not given a regrade to the higher speed as you state.

On that day you changed from an up to 8MB account to an up to 2MB account - hence no change. Now you are in the queue with all the other Premier users.

@Elvin

i'm not sure I agree. The Premier Option 1 account was advertised as up to 8Mb on that day and this is my ticket.

Fogive me for being pedantic, but....

Having a speed of 2Mb *IS* within "Up to 8Mb's"

Technically Wink

Agreed, but I was picking up on JWhiting's comment regarding "the higher speed" which to my mind means speeds in excess of the existing 2Mb.

Technically and even in layman's language Wink

ok so may be i read this wrong ill go back to school and tell my teachers they didnt teach me to read propley

im beging to think its time to move isp's ive been here a while now but
there are cheaper and more fairer services out there

this is the age of techknowledgy and they cant seem to work out between them solutions to there problems
i should of realised that p/n would muck this all up to

when i jioned i paid 6 months for the 8 mb service and till some one a c/s was kind enough to say dont waste your money
it wouldn't be enabled till april

it would just be nice to get a fair and straight answer from c/s

i have phoned them twice now and both times been given diffrent answers to same question

so think either they dont know
or they think ill say this and that will shut him up till he gets annoyed and starts moaning again
