There used to be a ten day "training period" for new activations where BT attempted to find the highest speed the line will support. As I understand it this no longer happens, and BT make a "best guess" based on your line stats and assign the IP profile accordingly.

As a result can you perform a BT speedtest (help here) and also post your router line stats to help us decide if your current speeds are the best you can expect.

Hi there,

What speeds are you actually seeing? According to BT you are profiled on a 5000Kbps profile, so I wouldn't have expected your speeds to have been poor.

As Peter says, you need to run the BT Speedtest so that we can get some further infomation about your connection speed.
