moving to cable

Am I correct in thinking that moving from +net to a cable BB supplier does not require a MAC code ?

Yep totally different system so you will just have to cease your ADSL when you get cable.

moving to cable

John

I have been considering the same.

If I moved to cable, is it possible for my ADSL line just go into hiberation .
(Be there ....... but not in use).

Just in case in a year or so's time I want to go back to it.

No BT charge PN a portion of your monthly fee for the provision of your ADSL enhanced line.
The only thing you could do is to have your account regraded to a free one ie dial up access and just check for mail every month or so and this would keep your username open.

You would have to pay for a new install though if you came back later.
Or take the "You Stay We Pay" free install option.

We've now moved back to cable (Telewest Blueyonder) from PlusNet and find that the 2Mb service is much more stable regarding download speeds, compared to +Net 2Mb Premier. Solid 251Kbps on all downloads where the host server can deliver that speed. We're looking forward to 10Mb soon.

We have always said that we'd recommend PlusNet to anyone who wants ADSL. They were good for us and remember that cable, although better, is still much more expensive than 2Mb Premier from +Net.
