Why does plus-net keep changing my speed.I was on 3500 then to 3000 for ages then 4000 briefly for a week now I'm back to 3000.My bt speedtest says this,

IP profile for your line is - 3000 kbps
DSL connection rate: 448 kbps(UP-STREAM) 3936 kbps(DOWN-STREAM)
Actual IP throughput achieved during the test was - 2718 kbps.

My router says,

Us Rate (Kbps) 448
Ds Rate (Kbps) 3968
US Margin 20
DS Margin 7
Trained Modulation GDMT
LOS Errors 0
DS Line Attenuation 46
US Line Attenuation 27
Peak Cell Rate 1056 cells per sec
CRC Rx Fast 0
CRC Tx Fast 0
CRC Rx Interleaved 0
CRC Tx Interleaved 5
Path Mode Interleaved

Just wondered why it keeps changing,or is that normal for it to change.

your stable rate will change if you regularly sync at different speeds.

it works on a 3 day cycle, updatng automatically.

this is down to your BRAS profile.

by the way, your stable rate of 3000 seems to be about right , it will always be slightly less than your sync speed.

The clue here is the IP Profile quoted in your speedtest result.

This is the BT restriction which we have no control over.
