http pingouts?

I've been away for the last 3 months in the United States and have made sure all of my payments have been up to date, but I have been recieving a lot of timeouts while surfing since I returned. There is no reason i can think of as to why they would be occuring when my line has always been stable and i have the latest drivers on my router (Netgear DG834v2). So I thought "hmm my router has been on for 3 months, maybe a reboot will fix it" sadly i have had no such luck.

I decided I would post here before raising a ticket to see if anyone else has these problems. Really they are just irritating tiemouts when trying to contact any web pages (there'll be a period of perhaps 5 minutes every hour or so)

*edit* i'm pretty sure its not my exchange as there are currently only 55 users for DSL on it. http://www.adslguide.org.uk/availability/btprereg_history.asp?code=STPIDTH

*edit edit* ok so that only goes to 2004 sometime. i live in a village of about 300 people though Tongue anyone know a site to get real time status of the exchange? samknows.com doesn't appear to be working
