email still borked?

I'm still seeing delays of up to a few hours on some inbound mails.

email still borked?

Three days old to the minute almost on inbound, exactly one month to the day since I started a thread on it. I have a daughter in her final year at university, which is making things difficult for her in particular. Sadly it now only a question of when, not if I leave plusnet . The whole family has had enough of this so called 'value added' email service.

email still borked?

The e-mail service has been variable since 27th April. 2 devices on my system send logfiles to my mailbox, so plusnet to plusnet mail. The worst delivery was yesterday, sent at 14:14 arrived today at 11:55. A delay of over 21 hours. An external e-mail, sent yesterday, entered the plusnet system at 15:36 and was delivered today at 10:49. A delay of over 19 hours.

Until yesterday, delivery was up to 4 hours - a poor service especially when I try to purchase things on the web.

My outgoing mail isn't going anywhere - it's sat in my outbox.

Do plusnet not understand that sending email is about as basic as it gets ??

If we delivered this standards of service to our clients they'd walk within weeks - will it ever get better ?

Oh and nothing on the status page about any problems with emails not being sent today - what's that about ?

I've not seen any other posts about people experiencing problems sending mail so I'm pretty sure it must be a problem at your end causing this.

PlusNet strike again!

I've just received an email sent 52 hours ago

YES ..... FIFTY TWO HOURS AGO

It was inviting me to a bank holiday drinking session. Guess I've missed it!

Seriously, how much more can we put up with? Missing email, slow websites, unreliably CCGI server..... and much more

I think it's time to spend some money and pay for specialist hosting and email, and just use PlusNet for the connection (and even that might have to go if things don't get any better)

I see your 52 hrs mlittle and raise you 72hrs
as to how much more can one put up with, in my case none, I am just organising things so I can request my MAC.
You will see little in the way of a response from plusnet here on this one as this is a 'Value added' service ( there understanding of what that means seems to be totally different to to yours and mine) and as such not part of what you should expect for your money.
Good luck to all who remain

Only it isn't any more - for 9.99 you can get PAYG without e-mail and webspace. For 14.99 you can get PAYG with e-mail and webspace. Hence (at least for PAYG customers) e-mail is a paid for service.
