email oddity

Hi and help

had an email from plusnet saying that an email box was nearing max size and needed to be cleared down. When I went to it a few days all the mail had gone. This in itself isnt a problem. What is is the fact that I can send from the account but anyone sending to it or replying to it gets a bounce back saying that the email account no longer exists?

Because the plus net mail servers act as an open relay to PN users you can send mail from any address you want, whether it exists or not. Just part of the way email servers work.

Hi there,

If you take a look at ticket 21972931 on your account this will explain things for you. You can view this via the My Questions link in the Help and Support section (you'll need to select 'Closed Questions').
