Hi,

Have you accidently turned on unsecured wireless networking on your router. If you have people can use your internet connection whenever they want.

Someone may have "borrowed" your PC when you were out.

What traffic does the usage page put the 6.6GB under ?

You need to raise a ticket, explain the situation and have it investigated. A few Megs may be accrued when no router is connected but 6.6GB suggests a faulty VMBU. Others have reported strange figures showing up so best to get it investigated.

The VMBU is never accurate.
My Friday off peak total showed as 0kb.
Was connected and using from 8am to 4pm...

Hi,

I've passed the ticket on to the network guys for you so they can check what's happened here.

Maybe i spoke to soon earlier.I have just noticed that i have recorded usage on Gaming of 1.46GB peak time and 2.99GB Offpeak.I never do any type of Gaming however, my 6year old grandaughter plays dressing up games on sites such as Barbie, would this be recorded as gaming?.If so it still seems a very high usage for the time she spends on it. Sad

See https://portal.plus.net/central/forums/viewtopic.php?t=54633 where I explain why the figures may not be accurate.

As for barbie, is this the game itself (running on your PC) or the barbie website. If the game, yes it could be counted but it does seem very high. If the web site, it would not be classed as gaming but as web.

It's the Barbie website Peter.

Time to raise a ticket if you are sure your overall usage is much higher than you think it should be.

1.5 gb on gaming is ridiculous, it woul dtake our family about 2 weeks to build up that amount and there are 2 of us online gaming every night.

ONline gaming usually uses a very small stream, about 8-12kbps just a bit more than a dail up modem.

Hi Fezzy2001uk,

I've just asked one of the guys in the Networks Team to look into this for you.

You should receive a response shortly.
