ccgi space down?

There still seems to be a problem - I'm getting timeouts today when trying to access my site at http://ccgi.valsphotography.co.uk/gallery.php.

I managed to get through a couple of times earlier today, but it seems to be consistently timing out now.

However, after trying to access it, I do see a bunch of incoming from ccgi.plus.net:http to closed ports being 'Denied' in my firewall. Does that mean cgi's sort of working, but simply responding too slowly atm?

It may have something to do with the Telehouse outage earlier:-

ccgi space down?

Hi,

Two of the servers look to have been affected by the outage at Telehouse, but they are back up and running now. We noticed a brief period of sites loading slowly, but before the network guys did anything it went back to full speed and should be OK now.

The connection has timed out
The server at ccgi.julesj.plus.com is taking too long to respond.

This is the reply I am getting
For your information I am on Humbug, but I beleive its not the database but the server that is the problem.
Thanks

ccgi space down?

the cgi platform is spread over 4 servers, and its pot luck which server you land on.

For the past few weeks Ive been seeing signs of the platform beginning to slow down and today start timing out.

Ive been doing some monitoring of the platform this evening and it would appear that whilst all 4 servers are under heavy load, ccg02 has been performing very badly with loads in excess of 400 at some points.

Ive been unable to identify which server is timing out but I would think its fair to assume from what Ive seen that its ccgi02.

This would explain why you hit a server and it times out.. and then if you try again a bit later your site appears to be working again - ie youve hit one of the other servers.

Ive been trying to nag PN about this for several weeks now, but it seemed like I was the only one who was experiencing this, so I dont think its being taken seriously.

Ive also posted about this on PUG
