Hi,

That doesn't apply to our customers. There's still a 10 day "settling in" period where the LLU systems determine the stable rate, but after that has passed the throughput is uplifted to match the sync rate.

I was moved to Tiscalli LLU last week and my "settling period" lasted 2 days. I'm pleased to report constant synching at 8000kbps, download rates of 6500kbps and upload rates of 500kbps.

Things aren't so simple over my wireless network, however!

that's excellent if you're getting that kind of throughput given any time of the day or night Smiley

I wish they would get round to moving me over Wink

I was moved to LLU on the 9th May but am still only seeing download speeds of 2mb aax day or night with sync around 6500mb so I assume I must still be throttled as I would expect to see slightly more with sync that high.

I was previously on a 1meg connection. When LLU'd it went to 2meg for a while until after a period of 10 days or a couple of weeks or so my stable rate was updated.

What are your line stats like? What speeds would you expect? What does this link say? https://portal.plus.net/my.html?action=stable_rate

The following link should give you a rough idea what you should expect.. http://www.prodigynet.co.uk/menu.php?page=support/adsllinecheck
If it's not what you're expecting, with being way past the 10 days then you should probably raise a ticket to see if something needs resetting.

The plusnet page say up to 8000kbps, the other site states 250 and 500kbps but not 1000kbps or above, confused or what?Huh

Yeah, my stable rate shows 8000kbps whereas in reality I really have a line which can support about 2500/3000kbps at best (depending on time of day). From what I was reading on the front page of adslguide today it said "LLU providers generally avoid this Data Rate issue, by their systems following the line sync speed more closely. ". So perhaps the "stable rate" is not so important on an llu line - I wouldn't really know but that information from adslguide suggests that.
