any idea on time period?????

Just looked in the Action tickets and saw this:-

Generic Modify Transaction order has been accepted and BT is now processing it.

I have also received an email PN saying the order has been sent to BT for my upgrade to 4-8mb. i am on the 4mb premier package

Anyone any idea when i should get my upgrade

PS My billing date is the 15th

Thanx

IIRC it can take upto 7 days for BT to process the regrade.

Did your ticket give any idea of dates?

any idea on time period?????

Hi,

The modify orders have a turnaround time of about a week, we've seen a few done earlier, but a week is the general rule from the time you receive the email. There is a problem on BT's side at the moment which means that some customers may not see the speed increase as soon as they sync up at the faster speed but they are being done within 3 days of this.

upgrade done

Hi

I have had my broadband upgraded to 4mb - 8mb but all the tests say the speed is the same as b4 so nothing say changed .
Does this mean i will have to wait for the three day period to past?

You may yet see an improvement today, but with it being a long BH weekend you'll not get an active response from PN or BT before Tuesday, so I would just hang on and hope till then.

If it's still unchanged on Tuesday, update your ticket and ask them to escalate it.

@jriley

Have you disconnected during the last three days?

Hm, I know you can trick the BRAS into responding if you resync at a different speed... so what would happen if you connected without a filter (mine will connect just not very well) which will force a slow speed, then after 30 mins or so disconnected then reconnected with the filter back in place - that should in theory force the BRAS profile to update. When my maxdsl upgrade goes through (migration) I'll try this for myself if my profile doesn't update.

Hi jriley,

Does your modem/router show you the speed you are sync'd at and any line stats? As many people have seen it can take 3 days or so for BT's back end systems to update and pick up your new speed but it would be useful to see what speed you are sync'ing at to see what the difference is.

Dave, on ADSL guide and a few other sites they suggest that resyncing at a different speed then syncing back to full speed can give the BRAS a kick up the backside...

When you said still the same speed was that the speed you got in a test or the sync speed reported by your router/modem? It's the second that is needed to give the BRAS an uplift.
