...and your new speed is....

Got an email today telling me I'd got a free upgrade with

"your new speed is"

followed by blank. A test shows that I've gotten 2M, I'm just flagging up that the emails are wonky.

How ironic, I got an email today congratulating me on my speed upgrade to 2Mbit, whereas in fact my line is dead, possibly banjaxed by the upgrade.

So I'd count myself lucky if I were you.

My email, also received today, has the same blank in it. However, that was after I'd discovered from speed tests from ADSL Guide on 28th August and since that it was running at almost the full speed expected from a 2MBps connection, so I didn't say anything!

One waits patiently for the free speed upgarde. Then one day and email pops into the box which says

Great news! Your broadband account speed has been successfully upgraded for free, at no extra cost per month.

Your new speed is: 2Mb

But the synch is 1MB, raise ticket must be throttled

answer
"Please drop your connection, unplug your router and reconnect. There may have been a mistake made in informing you of 2Mb as our records show the regrade was to 1Mb, rather than 2. The speed at which you reconnect will be your maximum speed."

I should have expected that, I have never had a first comment from Darlek (ecterminate only) Net yet. So now I always believe they have got it wrong first, my only quandry with tickets and emails from them is "is the second or third answer right"

Even the email they sent out with the new T&C's, now you can't get that wrong can you?....well they sent one after it apologising for sending it prematurely.

If it wasn't serious business it would be the best joke in town.

Tell an ISP joke......Plus Net.
