Wow!

I've only just discovered that we can ftp using ftp.DOMAINNAME.co.uk (i.e. ftp.alldaniel.co.uk, in my case)

How comes this isn't public knowledge in the support pages?

Is this different in any way to using ftp.plus.net?

Yes, I knew that, but I can't rememebr how. Just generally when you buy a domain name the Domain Name Server (DNS) will point to the IP address where your domain resides.

Good though isn't it?! cgi.YOURDOMAIN.co.uk is accessible too if you have CGI enabled.

Hi Daniel,

This gets setup automatically whenever you host a domain with us. You will also find that mail.alldaniel.co.uk points to mail.plus.net There is no difference in using these addresses other than cosmetic. I'll look into getting this covered in our support pages.

Kind Regards,
Rob

Don't panic!

Mine didn't either. The cgi one doesn't work I guess, but your ftp.DOMAIN.co.uk will.

RE: Wow!

I seem to recall somewhere you have to add the cgi one manually?
