Will I Get Stung for Switching?

I have a £47 deferred cancellation fee next to my account. If I request a MAC and migrate to another provider, will I get charged £47 by Plus Net? :?

PN will not give you your mac until you have paid the £47

Only mildly better speeds

What are the terms for poor service I wonder? I would think they are in breach of contract, if one existed?

Would contacting CISAS help if Plus insisted on charging the canx fee?

It's not a cancellation fee. A cancellation fee would be an extra charge levied just for cancelling. Deferred fees are just that, fees which were levied at the time you joined but which, under the "You stay, we pay" scheme, Plusnet agreed to allow you defer payment to a future date. They also agreed to reduce the amount owed by 20% for each complete year you stayed.
