Who crippled my gifs ?

Weird.

All bar one of my web based, animated gifs (hosted on my webspace) have ceased to work.Bizarrely the only one that still works is my avatar. The rest are frozen in time like the little doggy below.

What's going on there then? Have they been (handi)capped ?

Any suggestions.......

So the dog running from side to side isnt one of these "Hit the Dog and Win an Ipod" competitions then?

Are you getting any 404 page errors is you refresh your website? I have seen reports of this happening from time to time which might point to a server problem (ie one out of the many is failing).

Also is it just your website? Is the portal OK with other graphics and also other websites?

cleared cahce (thanks odinsrealm, I can't believe I hadn't tried that ) hasn't worked.

@peter , everything else seems fine Peter.No 404's.
The bit that is really puzzling me is that one of my gifs is still working. It is hosted in the same place as all the others that have stopped working.

I've tried uploading the gif of the dog again (the one on my machine is working fine). It worked the next time I looked and then stopped again.

If I click on the actual image it shows this message

Quote
The image “http://www.grahamreddy.co.uk/gifs/dog.gif” cannot be displayed, because it contains errors.

Strangely enough I also get this message when viewing the last remaining animated gif,my avatar.

Maybe try a PC reboot next. Looks like your browser may have gone to bed early.

ah,no,wait.

Doggy is moving again in IE6,which I never use any more.

Still still in Firefox.

Guess it's a Firefox re install.

Thank you all for your contributions.

Ye gods!

Got them working again after a Firefox re-install and then a thorough clean out of it's history.

Spot on Peter.

Your doggy has frozen in my Firefox and he was frisking about yesterday like nobody's business :?

Edit: He started running again when I cleared the FF cache and refreshed the page Cheesy
