What time is peak time for P2P/FTP etc?

I wanted to get the latest episode of a TV prog but I am unsure whether i have to wait until 12am or I can start now and finish before 4pm.

What IS peak time for P2P? 12am til 8am or 12am till 4pm?

Until you go onto the new product, it's 8am to midnight for P2P.
On the new product, there will only be the one peak time of 4pm to midnight.

Presently peak time usage is 8am-midnight.

As of your next billing date this will become 4pm-midnight.

You will receive an email when your product has been changed detailing this.

Is peak time everyday 365 days a year, or do we get "time off" on weekends and bank holidaysHuh

It's applied every day, the timeframe depends on your product.

Thanks for the info, I have only used 11gb peak time (8am to 12am) all traffic (not just P2p) , and with a week to go I think I can aford to downlaod it now, its only 170mb.

Hopefully I have done my maths right and I should be OK.

To my mind, you shouldn't need to even ask this question. I just looked at my usage statistics and can't make head nor tail of them. It just shows what I have used in total (but no indication of "what I have remaining").

PlusNet should be making it very clear to EVERY Customer where we stand. It's not everyone who has the time to trawl through endless forums messages to find this out.

I feel very much the same as you. I am almost afraid to use my internet connection for fear of being "cut off" with three weeks of my billing period to go.

Is PlusNet you going to write to everyone and let us know EXACTLY what changes are taking place?

The plan was to have the new VMBU, with more accurate information, out this month. This has now been delayed.
As for rolling out limits on accounts without any way for users to see clearly how they are affected, this simply shouldn't have been done. We got the usual party line when bringing this up in the past.
