What just happened?

I've been on max for 5 days now, sync rock steady at 8128. Stable rate is still locked at 2000 - no change for me so far.
Speed have been rock steady at between 1800 and 2000kb/s

Restarted the router tonight (no harm trying)

Suddenly I'm getting speed tests in the 400-500kb/s region - 1/4 usual. This has been the case for the last hour or so. Confirmed by BT speed test.

Speed seem to be climbing again now, sitting at about 1400kb/s

I would be surprised if it were exchange contention, because there has never been a whif of it before at any time of day. VP capacity is showing green (alsager)

What just happened?

Thought it was just me. I'm on day 7 and have been syncing at 8128, stable rate 2000 the whole time. Unlike a lot of people i've had, until now, a steady connection with steady 2mb speeds.
Now? I'm getting about 600 from the plusnet side of things, but the BT speed test gave me 2100.
I'm confused (tried rebooting router, made no difference) :?

What just happened?

I have 8128/448 sync speed, 8000 stable rate so far, but my speeds have bombed out too. As has a mate of mine's, and he's on 2meg nonMax.

Problem brewing? C/S line busy or 40 mins wait. :|

What just happened?

It wasn't last time I was connected to it, which was much earlier today I'm running a traceroute (www.pingplotter.com) to a site so I can see the latency to the routers in-between too.

What just happened?

There's nothing being flagged up at the moment, and whilst the traces post do show that there's a fair bit of lag on some of the gateways this then gets better after the second hop on affected traceroutes.

I've also checked the network graphs internally, and things look pretty similar to this time yesterday, rather than there being something that would indicate a sudden drop in the network. We will keep monitoring this though, to ensure that there are no lingering issues other than network contention.

What just happened?

My speeds are up to 2.45mbps now. Which is a lot better, and it feels less laggy now too. A drop to under 400kbps though at the worst instance though... surely that's more than just contention. :|
