What does this mean?

I have received a reply on my ticket saying that there have been some subtle changes made. The [Internal] comment reads

[INTERNAL]
8M_896 High SNR (8160kbps/896kbps) Adaptive:Adaptive Interleave Size 8

Anybody able to interpret this into English for me? I would like to know what has been done Smiley

Thanks.

What does this mean?

I'd guess and say you've had 8ms interleaving applied.

Thanks, but that doesn't really mean anything to me Smiley

What does this mean?

Interleaving increases stability, with a slight increase in latency.

What does this mean?

Well I have noticed that my upstream has improved (after restarting the router) and I am getting slightly faster speeds

8157 Downstream
573 Upstream

I'm a happy customer, especially since things seem much more stable now. Thank you all (still gonna leave my ticket open for a couple of days just to be sure)

What does this mean?

With a downstream of 573, I would assume you've been stuck on a LLU, so would have thought interleaving would have been applied by default?
