WebMail problems

I don't seem to be able to login to WebMail this morning. I'm either getting a password/username error or the generic WebMail error page. Anyone else seeing this?

Seems to be okay here right now. Is it working for you?

Can you access the same mailbox via a mail client or, for example, www.mail2web.com?

WebMail problems

Hi there,

This is likely to be related to the P1 problem that we're currently investigating. We'll be taking Webmail offline shortly as part of the investigation.

WebMail problems

Would this problem also be the cause of the symptom that my IE7 suddenly started to alert me over the last couple of days (when I refresh my Webmail inbox) to the fact that "the page contains both secure and insecure items" (which is, afair, when an https page includes data being served from a different server - e.g. not the one whose certificate you are trusting for the security of your exchanged data...?). I guess it's likely, as it's not giving me that prompt now, after the remedial work on webmail...??

Thanks,
chrisc

It's more than likely that this was the cause of IE7 giving those alerts.

Keep an eye on it and if they return give us a shout Cheesy

WebMail problems

Didn't post this at the time (May 10th), in case I was mistaken (it stoppped happening as suddenly as it started) - but it's happening again now, and given the recent Webmail events, then I thought I'd just ask, in case it's a concern - or alternatively, explainable and of no concern...

Anyway - when I refresh my Webmail inbox, I am being prompted by IE7's Information Bar that "the website wants to run the following add-on - 'Windows Media Player' from Microsoft Corp. If you trust the website....". I had not seen this before May 10th, and do not understand why Webmail Inbox page would need to run this add-in?

I only have 2 tabs open (PlusNet Member Centre and WebMail) - so it's not a different website that I'm seeing the prompt from - and it's currently happening on every inbox refresh.... (I have taken a screenshot for the record....).

Any explanation? Thanks,

Have you tried flushing your browser cache to see if it still happens after that?
