Warning email for Premier option 1

Premier option 1 now has a limit of 20GB peak time, with sanctions coming in from 13GB.

Would somebody mind pse saving me hours of searching and remind me when you get the warning email that you're approaching the 13GB?

I know it used to be at 8GB when the management came in at 10.

Warning email for Premier option 1

No sunhouse I've not seen anything.
And the page I quoted was from the sales Residential stuff as of just now, so I'm baffled.

Perhaps as you say one of the nice Pn people can explain it all again when they've got a minute.

Your peak-time usage for this billing month just exceeded 11GB.

Although this is not more than your allowance, we wanted to make you aware of light restrictions to your connection speeds that come into force should you reach 13GB.

Ok this is how it works for premier Option 1

As for the warning emails, id say between 2 and 3 GB in advance of the restriction limit?

Warning email for Premier option 1

I do vaguely remember James posting in big red letters about something to do with limits, but if it don't apply then it shouldn't be there, should it?

DOH!!!!!!! I knew I had seen a list somewhere and just found it right at the top of the Opening Portal page

http://portal.plus.net/features/news/usage_upgrade.shtml

But it still does not seem to tally with the level at which a warning email is sent at 24GB for Premier 1 as here and I post the link again

http://portal.plus.net/support/broadband/network/sustainable_usage_guide.shtml

So still none the wiser as to at what point a warning email is sent :-(

I'm off to get the Asprins

I'd say it's roughly 80%, so 80% of 13gb = 10.4, so a warning message most likely when you exceed 10 or 11gb.

Warning email for Premier option 1

Hi,

For Premier Option 1, the warning email is sent around 10GB, no changes are made to the connection at this point. Then the level 1, 2 and 3 emails are sent at 13, 17 and 20GB of peak time usage respectively.

Should you continue to us the connection at peak times after hitting level 3 then the SUP is our "safety net" to stop unsustainable usage. A customer on Premier option 1 would get a warning at 24GB that they were approaching the SUP limit and then speeds would be reduced to 128kbps at all times for the remainder of the month should they reach 30GB.
