The reason View My Usage is not in real-time is that the session accounting information sent from BT to our monitoring servers is not in real-time.
We are looking to address this as part of our ongoing improvements but in the meanwhile if you really need to closely monitor your usage we recommend the use of something like the third party No Frills Timer that will allow you to track your usage in real-time.
