VOIP questions

Hi

I am thinking of utilising my free 240 mins of free VOIP, I just have a few questions before I take the plunge.

1) If I activate broadband phone, can I turn it deactivate the service if I don't want to use it?

2) Is there any way of keeping track of the free minutes used?

3) do I need to deposit cash to take advantage of the free 240 mins?

4) Is it possible to use VOIP / X-Lite simotaniously on different computers?

thanks Smiley

VOIP questions

I'm not an authority on this, but I have tried out the VOIP service. It is fun to experiment with, though I'm not sure it is tried and tested enough to be one's main phone service.

1) why bother to deactivate, just don't use it.
2) there is a entry in the itemised bill section of the portal (once you have activated the service) which displays your included minutes. I expect this is what you are looking for.
3) probably not, cash balance only needed for chargeable calls
4) I expect you can, but I haven't done this myself.

Give it a go, it won't cost you anything, and if you don't like it don't use it.

VOIP questions

Hi there,

To answer your questions;

I am thinking of utilising my free 240 mins of free VOIP, I just have a few questions before I take the plunge.

1) If I activate broadband phone, can I turn it deactivate the service if I don't want to use it?

---There wouldn't be much point in doing this, you could just not use it.

2) Is there any way of keeping track of the free minutes used?

---Yes, there is an itemised billing section once the service is activated.

3) do I need to deposit cash to take advantage of the free 240 mins?

---No, however if you do put credit on the service you will then be able to call just about any number including mobiles and international numbers.

4) Is it possible to use VOIP / X-Lite simotaniously on different computers?

---Yes this is possible, multiple connections are supported.

Hope this helps.
